  1. I just want to reassure my siblings…and my father.

    “Mothers Do Not Die”

    God called your name to take you home last Thursday
    And we didn’t see the angels when they came to guide your way.
    We didn’t get to hold you ar ask the reason why,
    We didn’t hear him call your name, so we never said good-bye.

    But God looked down from heaven and he heard your children cry,
    He saw the sadness and the pain, he knew they questioned “why?”
    His voice called down from heaven because he wondered why
    Why I haven’t told them “Mothers do not die”

    He told me I must tell them what he dad to say,
    And he spoke to me so gently in his own, sweet, loving way.

    Your mother was my gift to you, to love you as you grew
    To teach you all the things of life that she already knew.

    To share with you your good times and to help you through the bad
    To share with you your laughter and to hold you through the sad.

    To teach you love, kindness and loyalty too,
    To teach you faith in man and God, To teach you to be true.

    She picked you up when you had fallen and helped you on your way
    The bond of love between you grew stronger every day.

    Now you need no more to cry — your mother did not leave you, For “Mothers do not die.”

    Your mother lives within you, as all mothers do,
    The day your mother gave you life, she became a part of you.

    I know that you are saddened because I called your mother away
    But your mother’s job was finished here,
    There was no reason for her to stay.

    Now close your eyes and you will see her,
    And you will feel her standing there,
    She will touch your hand, you will feel her love
    And you will know that she is near.

    Now you need no more to cry, for your mother did not leave you, For “Mothers do not die.”

  2. To my dearest friend Dymphna and your family,

    My thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember a sunny weekend when your mom joined us at Sea Ranch and her wonderful cooking at holidays and parties at your house. She always shared her love with everyone around and clearly enjoyed being with family and friends.

    God Bless,
    Elise

  3. Lorna Gamboa says:

    For the Santos Family:

    I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
    Oh, so happy and so bright!
    There is perfect joy and beauty
    In this everlasting light.

    All the pain and grief is over,
    Every restless tossing passed;
    I am now at peace forever,
    Safely home in Heaven at last.

    Did you wonder I so calmly
    Trod the valley of the shade?
    Oh! but Jesus’ love illumined
    Every dark and fearful glade.

    And He came Himself to meet me
    In that way so hard to tread;
    And with Jesus’ arm to lean on,
    Could I have one doubt or dread?

    Then you must not grieve so sorely,
    For I love you dearly still;
    Try to look beyond earth’s shadows,
    Pray to trust our Father’s Will.

    There is work still waiting for you,
    So you must not idly stand;
    Do it now, while life remaineth-
    You shall rest in Jesus’ land.

    When that work is all completed,
    He will gently call you Home;
    Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
    Oh the joy to see you come!!

    Terry was a wonderful friend, such a pleasant person to work with. I learned so much about being a better person from just knowing her.

    If God’s purpose in life for Terry was to give Him glory, by showing her love for Him, and give Him pleasure by producing and raising a loving family, and by being a kind and fun friend, I imagine when God saw her He said, “good job, Terry”.

  4. The last time I saw Tita Terry was at my baby shower a couple of years ago. I’ll never forget her smile and the way she filled the room with joy and laughter, while her and Dymphna were having fun playing baby bingo. Her happiness and love was always felt the moment she entered a room, and I will never forget it. Although I am younger than most of her children, I was closer to Dymphna and Jackie, and I see the glow Tita Terry had in her , within her children, a special warmth she passed on to everyone she knew. This internal glow Tita Terry had will forever remain with me, and for all to see, in her children, grandchildren, husband and family. Losing a parent is always hard, and unfortunately I have experience this as well, but just remembering to carry a part of them in your heart forever, and this will get you through each day. Try to smile and fill the room with love and laughter just as she did everyday.

    Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

  5. I am so very lucky to have countless beatiful memories of my Tita Terry. Her wonderful smile was always there to greet everyone. My words alone can not begin to summarize what a wonderful person she was. We all know how great of a person she was just by seeing her principles and morals expressed by her children and gandchildren. I mourn the loss of such a beautiful person, but I am very lucky to be able to maintain her memory, her kindness, her energy and her love by simply looking and talking to any one of my cousins and their children. Tita Terry will continue to live in our hearts and in our minds because she was such a positive influence in our lives. She has gone to be with her mother and her father. We need not pray for her because God has taken her to be his most energetic Angel. We should pray that we can be fortunate enough to join her.
