I don’t even know where to begin… I’m absolutely crushed!!! Jessica was such an incredible/ amazing woman! She was such a huge part of my life for a long time. Words are failing me and it’s tough to describe what she meant to me. I could never thank her enough for her friendship and love. There is such a hole in my heart right now.

I’m at a total loss for words… I don’t even know where to begin. I’m absolutely beyond crushed by this.
Jessica was the most amazing and incredible woman. Her caring, warmth, compassion, humor… I’m going to miss it all tremendously.
She meant so much to me for such a big portion of my life. And saying that doesn’t do my emotions justice. I can’t begin to put my feelings down in a way that really communicates what she meant to me. I know that I can never thank her enough for her friendship and love.
To the Pierogs, I’m so so sorry for your loss. Nothing I can say feels right or truly conveys my feelings. I’m thinking about you all and sending my thoughts, prayers and love!!!
And To Jess, thank you! Thank you for EVERYTHING!!! I’ll never forget you and I’ll always hold you in my heart.

Some of the former Stanford residents had a video call yesterday, sharing our memories of Jessica and what she had taught us. Many remarked how she always had our backs, and she cared deeply for the residents’ education. Jessica is the reason that many of us still show up early to a shift, so we can get our colleagues home on time. She was a main reason that we got food and drinks in the ED for residents, which was so important to our wellness and ability to work through tough shifts. She also trained the best scribes that I’ve ever worked with. I’ll always remember her infinite energy, nebulizing coffee in the ED to get rid of bad smells, and the great stories about her shifts at Disneyland. Rest In Peace, Jessica

  4. Disbelief and sorrow flood our emotions. Jessica was a formative influence in the lives of all she touched, even at an early age.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.
