Jessica Ellen Pierog
Jessica passed from this life the morning of September 20th after a sudden unexpected illness. She was born in Orange County, California and spent her first 18 years in Monarch Bay, Monarch Beach, California.
Jessica shared her childhood with sister Margaux. They went to different high schools but competed as a doubles team in USTA tennis. There was National Charity League, Brownies, Monarch Beach events with family and friends, vacations, travel, celebrations,
Jessica sailed off to the Air Force Academy after Santa Margarita High School, then transferred two years later to Wellesley College, graduating with a BS in Neuroscience. She returned home to Orange County and attended Western Medical School graduating with honors and advancing to an Emergency Medicine residency at Leigh High Valley Medical Center in Pennsylvania, again graduating with honors, exceling with peer review publications in emergency medicine. Off to Stanford University to complete a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services and a master’s degree in Statistical Epidemiology. With training complete and Emergency Medicine Board Certification, she attended at Stanford University Medical Center for 9 years. Jessica recently returned to Orange County with a career change to Veterinary Medicine, being accepted to Tufts University Veterinary School.

My heart is so sad to hear this news. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family @ this time of loss. Our Stanford ED family was blessed to have had 2 Pierog family members grace our lives. We have missed Jessica and her Auntie Jean. Though her bright lite and of love of life has been dimmed too soon she will always have our love and respect. Rest in Peace Dear Jessica
