    Dearest Cobb Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have known you all, for much of my life and remember all of the wonderful memories of my childhood with you. Mr. Cobb was always my favorite coach and will remain so in my heart for the rest of my days. When I first met you all, you weren’t Christians and now you all are! It’s such a joy to know that you will all be reunited in our Fathers kingdom. My love, prayers and tears are with you all. I will be at your disposal ANYTIME. Mrs. Cobb, Mike and Kristen I will continue praying for you. This sucks, …. but I am so thankful to have spent time with the greatest Coach a guy can have. I will miss you, Mayor!
    Love you all,
    Buzz Whitlow

  2. Dear Carolyn, Mike and Kristen,

Our hearts and prayers go out to each of you. You were so blessed to have a husband and father who is so well-respected, love and admired. Please count us among them. May God walk with you through this challenging time in your lives. God bless each of you.

  3. I am a member of the class of 1957.
I remember Dick as a very quiet and very nice person. He seems to have led the kind of life that I would have expected of him.
My prayers to all his loved ones who will miss him greatly.

  4. Condolences to the family and to Dick, Thanks for the memories of our youth.

  5. To the Cobb family,

I don’t even know what to begin to say. Pastor Cobb! What an honor it was to be a part of his church body. I’m still amazed in the way the Lord used Dick. I remember him setting up chairs at our previous church just years before, and having the utmost repect for the man. He was always so polite and generous and not even a believer at that time. But then the Lord changed his heart and he became a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen to that! Amen to Dick for stepping out in faith and trusting his calling to become the pastor of Sandals Community Church. Dick taught our family so much. We were always amazed at his caring heart and the wonderful support he always gave not only to our family when my dad was battling cancer but to others too. We will miss Dick’s messages, his humble spirit, his funny jokes on Sundays and most of all not seeing him each week.

I thank you Pastor Dick for teaching our body about the power of prayer…to not give up..and to always have a servants heart.

Our prayers will be with your whole family to help you get through the difficult times of missing your husband, son, dad, brother, grandfather and friend to so many of us.

    We love you guys!

Joel, Karie, Tyler, Tanner & Abbie Rodgers
