  2. Dear Carolyn, Kristen, Mike and family,
Thank you for sharing your dad/husband/grandpa/father-in-law with me over the last 35 years. I have been so blessed to have spent time with my favorite Uncle Dick. I have such fond memories of his wonderful spirit, kind hearted manner, and sweet personality. Our prayers are with all of you.
    love,
Claudia, Blake, and all of the girls

  3. Carolyn,
I am Kris Whitlow’s sister and I met you and Dick many years ago when my youngest child was six weeks old. I have a picture of Dick holding Amy as though she would break. Not too long ago I was able to see both of you again when I was visiting Kris at her ‘cowboy house’ and we all went to church. I was able to hear Dick speak, listen to the music and enjoy watching his congregation respond to him. I’m so glad I had that chance to renew our aquaintance and am so sorry that Dick’s battle with cancer has ended. Sixty-five is too young to die having just turned 65 in July I can say that. I know you and your family will miss him greatly and I want you to know that even distant aquaintances like me will to. I will be thinking of you and Kris and Bill tomorrow and praying for you all. If you ever get to Chicago, please contact me so I can show you around.
    Sincerely,
    Connie Hyland
