Obituary

Natalie Marie Foster was born in Riverside California September 16, 1983. She died on April 13th, 2010 at home in San Clemente surrounded by her family.

Natalie was the baby of three girls and was stricken with Rett Syndrome a severe neurologic disease that affects girls both mentally and physically. She bravely fought for 26 years, which was more than predicted for her life. Natalie through it all was always a happy, congenial girl and for most of her life wore a big smile. She attended school and graduated from Tesoro High School special education program.

Although Natalie never spoke a word and spent the last 12 years of her life in a wheelchair, she had a lasting impact on all who knew her and left a special mark on this world.

She was the light of her family’s life and will forever be missed.

She was preceded in death by her older sister Christina who also died of complications of Rett Syndrome in December of 2000.

Natalie is survived by her mom Susan Foster, dad Ralph Foster, big sister Nicole Carlson, brother-in-law Craig Carlson, and niece Chloe Carlson.

Fly away our sweet angel, be with your sister free at last in a place free of pain, free to walk and run, free to talk to your hearts desire. We will miss you with all our hearts but we know that you are finally free at last in a place more beautiful than we can imagine.

Forever loved,
Mom, Dad, Nicole, Craig and Chloe

  1. Dear Family,
My deepest condolences for the loss of your dear Natalie Marie. I am in awe of the wonderful parents you both were to both of your girls. You truly are an inspiration to other families. It warmed my heart to read Natalie’s obit. She is now free to run and talk and play with her sister. Know that you are never far from my thoughts and prayers. I only hope you can find the peace and comfort that only God can provide. I love all of you very much. Love and prayers, Trish
