Obituary

Josephine del Rosario Moore of Irvine, a native of the Philippines and a resident of Southern California for 28 years, passed away on February 16. Josie graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Although she followed a career in accounting, she continued her love of the arts and enjoyed painting. She is survived by her husband Richard Moore, mother Mercedes del Rosario, sisters Angie Almuete, Charie del Rosario, Carol Montes, Ma. Mercedes del Rosario, and brother Jun del Rosario. Memorial service at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Irvine, Friday Feb. 27 at 10:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Research Institute or the American Stroke Association.

  2. Dear Richard and Del Rosario family: Eventhough years have passed without being in touch for one reason or another the news of Josie have saddened me. Josie I will never forget our good times with Paul, Richard and Tom. I am sure Tom has received you with open arms. You were always a kind, gentle and sweet person and you will be a sweet Angel in Heaven. Richard, I am sure your faith will keep you strong and Josie will always be in your heart.

    It was nice to meet you a couple of times before Josie passed away.

    I was once a member of the Jazz Mass Choir in the early 70’s,which means I have affinity to Josie’s thru the JMC. God bless.
