  3. To Richard and Chet and all of Josie’s family…
I’m still trying to grasp the fact that such a lovely, young, vibrant, charming, beautiful, talented, funny, caring, loyal, dedicated and kind person is now gone, taken from this mortal life far too soon. As I witnessed at her wake on Friday, she touched the lives of so many people in so many beautiful ways. She certainly will not be forgotten. I know that your love for Josie will live on in her angelic soul and spirit, and her love will live on in your hearts, and maybe she will find ways to communicate comfort and strength to all of you in a personal way that only each of you will know and understand. Perhaps it would be through a favorite song of hers or something that you see or hear that reminds you of her and lets you know that she is near. But how fortunate everyone is, especially the people closest to her, to have crossed paths with her in this lifetime, and how fortunate Josie was to have Richard and her family in her life. Everyone will be able to carry on with such warm and cherished memories of their dear time spent with Josie. I wish we could have been able to visit a little more frequently through the years out here in California.
Richard, you took such good care of Josie while in the hospital. I know she felt your presence.
I will continue to think of you all and say prayers for your healing.
Josie was one of a kind.
    Love,
    Laura
