    Shannon, Dani and Brett:

As I sat in the church on Nov 3rd I was overcome with the many memories of Ty from the days at Gillis Beach, taking trips to K54, Zuma, the Wedge and numerous other hot spots to knee board or body surf, playing football at Westchester and SMCC, skiing at Mammoth, June and Big Bear, setting off M80’s with delayed ignition we actually used cigarettes to delay the explosion so we could leave the area in apt complexes in Marina del Rey,his concussion during summer HS football where Ty didn’t know where he was and being roommates in Redondo Beach.

Ty was the buddy with the “Perfect Body” that we were all envious of and no matter how hard we worked out in the gym we knew deep down we would never look that good. Great genes from his parents, Stu and Liz.

I remember Ty and Gary Heinbuch, our other buddy and roommate from Westchester, sitting on the couch in our apt and singing along to my poor guitar playing of songs by Neil Diamond OR coming back late at night from our favorite bar, Critters, and having a foosball tournament til dawn yes we had a foosball table in the dining area of our apt! We even had mini-pong small table ping pong tournaments too. Anything for fun and laughter was our motto. I could almost smell his famous fried liver that he cooked in our apt and literelly stunk up the place. He would top it with cheese and drown it in ketchup so he could eat it. We always asked why he ate such a meal and he would always say it was cheap and full of protein. He would also come back to the apt from his job loading trucks for UPS and tell us about the new records he helped set for the number of boxes they jammed into the trucks that night. He even made work fun and competitive!!

You were truely fortunate to have such a special man in your lives. I could tell that his love, humor and compassion is deeply embedded in each of you. While Ty has left us all too soon he has filled your minds and hearts with loving memories you will reflect on daily and will forever be a part of who you are. His passing hurts deeply and your joy is in knowing that he is now in a special place for his next chapter, eternal life.

May God bring you peace in this time of need.

    Sincerely,

    Steve Weimar

Dearest Shannon, Dani, Brett, Liz and Greg…..

There is nothing profound for us to say except that your family means so much to all of us. Our special times together have so many moments of laughter and sincerity that were shared by all. Tyler Mimm was, and will always be, larger than life to all of us. He represented the world as a beautiful, friendly, loving playground that we were lucky enough to share with all of you. He was a special angel sent to all of us to aspire to become and pass his wisdom onto other friends and people in our circles. We will remember him and his beautiful giggles everyday and hold a special place in our hearts and souls for his memory. Love to all….Jim, Debbie, Michael, Mallory and Randie Bundy

  5. Dear Shannon,
I’ll address this to you since I don’t know Dani or Brett. I just viewed the slide show however, and the children are absolutely gorgeous! I was at the store today and Cindy told me what happened. What an absolute shock. I know how dearly you loved him, everytime you referred to him at the store you would say, “My Ty.” My mom passed away in April and I’m just beginning to grieve her now. I was on “auto-pilot” for several months.
Please know that all our prayers and love are with you and your children at this very difficult time. If you ever want to talk…I’m just an e-mail away! I never met him, but viewing his pictures, made me wish I had. He was a big life presence! The best to you and the children, Denise Corona
