  1. Dear Brandon,
It’s not fair, we all know it. It was so unexpected and so shocking to us all. Words can’t heal a broken heart and, moreover, a broken life. Sometimes they are even unable to help. I just want to tell you I am completely sorry for you and I will be there if you ever need me. Remember to trust God as you would Sherise and he will pull you through this tumultuous time. I love you and keep in my prayers.

  2. Light

    For Sherise…

    You were a light.
    Anyone could see that.
    That’s what your photographs say,
    that dazzling smile, the awareness
in your eyes, the hint of mischief.

You were one of those rare beings
    whose inner beauty shone outward,
    whose energy and goodness touched
everyone you came in contact with.

I saw you only once, but saw
    immediately that light around you,
    felt your sweet, passionate spirit
    your exuberant joy.

Then change came flying in an instant.
You were taken, no chance to say
    hello again, nor goodbye,
those who love you left to ponder,
    to nurse ripped heartstrings,
    turning in sleepless nights
    to imagine you still here.

    Pain butters the daily bread;
the longing for time to rewind
is a hard lump in the throat,
    your family, your friends
changed forever not only by your
leaving, but by your having loved them.

That is the gift, the buoy
on an ocean of shocked tears.
    Your light still shines,
    just in another dimension now,
not given those still clothed in flesh to see.
Your love, its radiance like transparent silk,
still drapes the hearts that ache,
    spins out its shimmering threads
    from where you are now
    to comfort their dreams
to give them strength, to whisper
    Wait..we shall embrace again
    with perfect understanding
    in the Light.

  3. Sherise was one of the greatest people that I have ever had the honor of knowing and loving. She always had a smile on her face and always thought of others before herself. Alough she might not have known it, she touched the lives of so many people including myself. She had a way of making you feel special even if you were in the worst possible mood. Alough it is with great sadness that I am having to write this so early, I know that she is in a better place now and that God couldn’t bear to be without her another day longer. I know that she will always be remembered in the hearts of every one that she met, especially mine.I hope that this letter will provide some condolence to the people like me who have lost a piece of their hearts and a piece of their daily lives. I know that Sherise is up in heaven now, and I pray that she will help all of us to get through this very dificult time.
    Lots of love and Godspeed,
    Zachary Bieber
