  1. My Dear Sherise,

Niece, God-daughter, friend and most recently step-daughter-in-law. Words cannot encompass the roles you filled in my life and the holes that been left behind.
I consider my self so blessed to have known you all these years. The lake, Crystal, quilt stores and scrabble are just a few of the many things that will never be the same.
I keep talking to you and every so often when I slow down and listen hard enough I feel you answer. That reassures me you are in heaven with our family that has gone before and I am comforted by the knowledge that one day we will meet again.
Megan, Matthew and Brandon will cherish your memory all of their lives. The family will make sure that they never stop hearing how much their mother/wife loved and adored them.
Until we meet again my dear, rest in peace. Remember I will always and forever be your August.
    Love,
    Mary Kay

Ms. Snodgrass was one of those professors that I will never forget. I was blessed to have had her class for two semesters. The one thing I will remember about her was during Christmas break last year, she sat behind me during church and at the end of mass I felt someone squeeze my shoulder and say Merry Christmas, and as I turned around, I saw her smiling face and gave her a hug. It made no difference to her that I was a student and that class was finished. My prayers and thoughts are with her family and again, I feel blessed to have met this angel.

  3. Everyone up to this point has conveyed their feelings in a message or a poem that I know you would be proud of. Unfortunately, you also know that I was never good at expressing my emotions through the art of words. I always left up to you, but here it goes:

    I miss you

    Sherise,
Where do i even begin to start?….. You where most definately and still are a huge part of my life and i just can’t thank you enough for all of the sacrifices you have made for my family and for me. I received an “A” on my senior paper because you helped me write my personal statement. You gave me the nick-name hardcore corey because apparently at the time i seemed tough. i can’t begin to thank you for all the blessings you have brought to me and my family. Thank you so much for being an inspirational and substantial element of my life to this day. I’ll see you in Heaven, love you.
