  2. Tang was a great man and a loving father. He was an amazing person, full of patience and kindness. I always admired his strong spirit and great sense of humor. Tang, thank you for everything. I owe it to you and Ma my life, for who I have become today. Thank you for being there always to love, guide and support us. Thank you for your unconditional love and for the happy and wonderful memories you left us. We love you Tang and we will miss you so much. This is not a goodbye, Tang we will see you again someday.
    Your loving Bunso,
    Lou

  3. I remember when I first came to the US and I couldn’t even drive yet, he was the one who
picked me up from work even though, sometimes
I had to wait and call because he forgot to pick me up.

Otang was there to comfort me when my dad passed away almost 10 years ago. He’s the one who embraced me when he picked me up from work.

    His love has always been pure;
he treated me as one of his own daughters and when he didn’t recognized our name saying that ing malago kung manuyang and ing anak kung pogi and malago kung apo but our youngest daugther he always remember her name apu kung aphnee aphnee..
So thankful he was the Lolo of my kids and
thankful I did take care of him as one of his nurses. With him we experienced how to be a nurse. He’s a great father, grand father and father in law with a great of sense of humor.
So thankful for my mother in law, brother in laws and sister in laws for treating me as a member of the family…and proud to be one and proud to be his daughter in law.
Thank you Otang for the good memories and it will always remain in our hearts.

It was just a few months ago I got to see Lolo for the last time when he left the Philippines. Being away its hard to imagine in my mind that he’s actually gone. What I’ll miss most from Lolo is definitely his sense of humor. By far some of the funniest moments I’ve laughed are from the smooth witty comments Lolo made. Listening to Lolo have these small harmless arguments with Lola were more entertaining than any hit series or drama. Lola would get upset at him while he would say a comment under his breath so only we could hear and laugh at. JC and I called it the “Lolo vs Lola show”.

Throughout all the hardship and health issues Lolo faced over the past few years, he never lost his humor. From diabetes to Alzheimer’s to cancer he still managed to stay strong til the end. He even had enough strength to wave his final goodbyes to us through the video chat and flash us one last smile. I learned that no matter how much you may be struggling or how many hours or minutes or seconds you have left in this world, there’s always time to smile.

Thank you Lolo, I’ll never forget you. I hope one day I could even be half the man you were.

    Your grandson,
    Mick aka Pedro

  5. Tang thank you po for all the great and unforgettable memories you left us.
Even extraordinary words are not enough to describe how wonderful ” tang” you are to us, you showered all of us with your unconditional love. Your care, your sense of humor and your unending help to all of us are the most that I will treasure forever. I will never forget also when you were tending our yard, the grass were more greener, the plants grew and most of all I have witnessed beautiful roses all over our house.

Thank you, thank you TANG, I have YET to meet another person just like you. YOU will always have a special place in my heart.
