Obituary
Michael K. Owens, age 65, of Laguna Hills passed away on May 16, 2012.
He was born in Goshen, Indiana, and is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife, Mary and five children: Michelle, Christopher, Jeremy, Mark and Matthew; his mother, Phyllis Ida Owens; siblings – Jessica, Jeff and Jennifer; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday, May 21st at 10 a.m. at the O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills and he will be interred at Miramar National Cemetery.

Mike is more then a hero to me he was a God sent man that came into my life about 19 years ago. Mike always treated me and my daughters with compassion and respect. I will always cherish every memory with Mike and know that because of him my life was better for having him in it. Mike always made me feel like I was a part of his family and I so appreciate the open arms he extended to me. I LOVE YOU MIKE OWENS AND HOLD YOU FOREVER IN MY HEART!!! MARY TUCKER

My fondest memories of Mike revolve around when Mom and Daddy got married. He became my oldest brother in every sense of the word. He was a friend, mentor and hero. As a family we were all so very proud of all of his accomplishments. He was a good man, father, son,brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.
