Obituary
Dr. Lauro M. Gaurano, 78, was born August 14, 1930 in Dolores, Luzon Province, Philippines and passed away November 1, 2008 at home in Laguna Niguel, CA. Dr. Gaurano attended the Manila Central University College of Medicine in Caloocan City, Manila, Philippines. He also attended Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Gaurano established a private practice as an Internist specializing in cardiology in Indianapolis, Indiana for seventeen years. He then relocated to California, practicing medicine in Long Beach and Anaheim for an additional eighteen years. He was married for forty-one years to his wife, Renate. Dr. Gaurano is survived by his sons, Dr. Herbert Gaurano and Luis Gaurano; daughters, Christine Jarjura and Annekatrin Haerle. He also has seventeen grandchildren. A Visitation will be Wed. 11/5/08 from 4:00-6:00pm at O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 7:00pm, also at O’Connor Mortuary. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington, Indianapolis, IN. Memorial contributions can be made in Dr. Gaurano’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, Orange County, 17771 Cowan, Suite 200, Irvine, CA 92614 or through their website at www.alz.org.

Condolence to the loved ones of Uncle Larry. I will always remember him for he inspired me to reach my dreams while we were in Manila. He taught me to be courageous and persevering as I work my way up. Thank you so much and I will miss you.

We were out of the country & recently found this out via internet & was not able to be at the funeral.
Our condolences to Uncle Larry, Aunt Renee & family.
Uncle Larry was a very giving man with a caring heart – he had help with our dad’s prognosis during his heart attack and Uncle Larry was very supporting to our family especially when our dad passed away.
