Obituary

And God said ‘I know you are hurting
I see you have suffered loss
You lost your child to cancer
Mine died upon the cross’

Justin’s battle with cancer came to an end on September 2, 2011. His body may have failed him; his mind and spirit did not.

In lieu of flowers the Young family requests donations be made to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County CHOC. Please click on the Charities link on the left side of this page for a direct link to the CHOC donation page.

You touched so many lives Justin in your own short one. It is with a heavy heart I heard the news of your relapse and an even heavier heart to hear that you passed. I wish I’d gotten a chance to speak to you again. I hope for peace for you and your family. Good luck and godspeed on your new adventure.

    Love,

    Teah and KB

Charlie, I am so sad for you my friend but inspired by how you devoted your life to your son and his illness. Justin was never alone and I’m sure he is not alone now! God’s peace to you and your family.

  3. Despite never having the chance to meet him in person, Justin was truly a great friend. I will forever treasure the wonderful times we shared.

My condolences to Justin’s family. The world has lost a great man.

Oh Doryl and family. My heart breaks for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily. Justin fought the tough battle. Perhaps our son Cody was there to welcome Justin to his new home in heaven….makes me smile to think. Love you, Dallas

  5. D'Anna says:

Six years we talked, laughed, argued and played together. I watched you grow up and was *blessed* to be a friend you’d talk to about the hard situations in life. You touched my heart and life, Justin, and those of my family, even though we never met you face to face. So many were touched by your presence in this world, people in other states, other countries even. You were truly a blessing to the “world” in the time God allowed you to be with us. We miss you so much! Charlie, Doryl and Jason, what a joy it must have been to have him there in your lives and such a great loss. God bless your family as you strive to go on without him, until we see him again.
