  1. Mike Schultz says:

When my family first moved to LA,
Aunt Jean showed us all around town,
and brought us to Disneyland and
the beach. She and Sam were lots of
fun, welcoming us to our new city.

Over the years we spent many holidays with the Jurichs. We
    have precious memories of fantastic
    Thanksgiving dinners. Jean was
a gourmet cook and always put on a
    beautiful feast. Christmastime was
    special with fellowship, laughter
and gifts. Jean loved animals, the
four that stand out are the two
Basingi dogs, Rafi and Binti, and
Chico and Chipper the birds. She
was also great with her other handicapped nephew, Bill. Thanks
for the great times, with love,
    your nephew, Mike

  2. My first impression of Jean was her boldness in the Lord. She knew Him so well and introduced Him to everyone! For the last 20 years we have shared retreats, luncheons, Nordstroms and phone calls. Dearest Jean, I am so blessed to have talked and prayed with you the evening before you left to be with our Lord Jesus-
I will miss you,’til we meet again-
I love you, my precious friend.

  3. Sweet Jean what a beautiful light for Our Savior. The years we spent singing at the Autumn Years alzheimers facility were so reflective of your joyous spirit. One of our favorite songs to sing was “I’ll Fly Away”. And so you did. Looking forward to singing with you again as we worship the King of Glory. What a blessing to know you and I’m thankful to God for the privilege. Sam, your wife always spoke so lovingly about you. You truly were the great love of her life. May God bless you and bring you peace.

  4. Jim Wagner says:

Jean loved her new role as a “Mama” for my wife Karen, and my wife loved being the daughter that Jean never had. I had become the “son” by default, and it was an honorary role that I accepted. Jean, along with her husband Sam, was always asking about my welfare and my travels, and they were both a huge comfort and company to my wife when I was out of the country. When ever we visited Jean would always insist on a big hug and kiss when first greeting and when saying good bye. There was not a visit that she did not talk about the grace of God even though she was constantly in pain from one illness or another. She seemed to handle the discomfort better than anyone I had ever seen before. Now, she is in the glory of Heaven. To her, I imagine, it will seem like a split second when we are with her, but for us it will seem too long until we see her again. Jim

  5. For Jean, my dear friend.
I remember the day we first met, at the pool at Heritage Park- Fall of 1988 We had just moved to California & I would drive to Irvine every morning to swim. You were one of the first people I met and I was so impressed by your enthusiastic & friendly nature. You have been so special to me, becoming not only a wonderful friend but a mentor as well. Your love for Jesus always front & center and your ability to share it -a precious gift. I thank God for the friendship we had. I will always miss you. Until we meet again. Carolyn and Dennis Harper
