  2. Our condolences to her family. We are very sorry for the loss, but we know she will be easy to spot in heaven. She will be the one that has thousands of cats and dogs, and other pets following her around in thanks.

I met J.C. in January of 2004 when she nervously walked into Curves to sign up as a member. I told her that exercise could be fun, but she didn’t believe me. She never missed a workout if she could help it, even working out with a broken arm! She had the highest number of workouts of any of the members. Two years later when she heard that her place to work out might close, she decided to buy it! She transformed a dull, lifeless club into a place with a warm, friendly, family atmosphere. J.C. would greet each person by name as they came in. She listened to them and genuinely cared about everyone. She was a great boss and an even better friend to me. When I went to see her in the hospital, she would first ask me how I was and how my sick dog was doing…always caring for others first. We will all miss her beautiful smile and her “bounce” around the circuit. I love you, J.C.!

  5. There never will be or has there ever been anyone in my life who could compare to JC. I always tried to keep in touch but usually the one place I could find her was at AMC. She hired me in 1996 when I was going thru a down period of life she always put a smile on my face. Besides her family of kitties she had numerous hippos so I always hunted for a different one for her collection. my prayers are with all that loved her you couldn’t help but love her that was JC she will always be in my heart. My love and prayers to her family, Scarlett
