  1. Dear Stephanie and Mr. & Mrs. Brown

Words cannot express the pain and sorrow that Alex and I feel for the loss of your loving husband and beloved son – even though I did not know Jimmy that well it was through Alex’s love, fond memories and the ultimate respect he had for his friend that made me feel that i had known him all my life – one thing that can never be taken away from any of us is sharing wonderful life experiences with your best friends and that is exactly what alex will always keep close to his heart forever – may god give you strength and courage to get through these difficult days ahead – our prayers and thoughts are with you always – may his memory be eternal – love carolyn colovos

  2. Stephanie, I don’t know where to begin to describe how broken up the boys and I are over the loss of our great friend Jimmy Brown. Growing up in Cambridge he was one of the four musketeers and was always a part of the hijinks that went on. It is literally true that I have thought of Jimmy every day for the past 30 years, because he is a part of so many of my fondest memories growing up.

I was always proud of Jimmy for what a great man he turned out to be. He got to live out some of the great adventures we only fantasized about as kids. It was my privilege a few years ago to work at Quantico here in Virginia and whenever I would see the OCS candidates marching by my building, I would think of Jimmy. Even though I only met you once at Al and Carolyn’s wedding, I could tell how happy you made him. You are in our thoughts and prayers, as are Charlie and Doris.

  3. Stephanie,
We love you and our thoughts are with you during this time. The Brennan’s Luc, Corrina, Dane and Connor

  4. John Weagle says:

I am deeply saddened to hear of the shocking passing of my dear friend Jimmy Brown. We grew up in Cambridge together. We met in the third grade at Morse School, and from that day on Jimmy, Alex Colovos, and myself were inseparable. We shared unforgettable memories of growing up in Cambridgeport from the Morse school through the Savio years and beyond.
Jimmy was truly the embodiment of the All-American kid. Honest, loyal, clean-living, and patriotic. He stayed that way throughout his entire life. Anyone who was lucky enough to have Jimmy as a friend considered it an honor. You simply could not have done better. I remember the day he called me to say he enlisted in the Marines. It was one of his proudest moments.
He truly found the love of his life in Steph. He was an equally loving and devoted son. He touched all of our lives in such a positive way. He will be truly missed but never, ever forgotten.
When I hear thunder coming from the heavens I will think of the sound of Jimmy’s lime green mustang rumbling around the corner from Magazine to Granite street.

God bless Steph, and Mr. & Mrs. Brown. My heartfelt condolences to you all.

  5. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Brown,

I grew up in Cambridge with Jimmy and his fellow Musketeers, John Weagle and Alex Colovus. Jimmy was always so kind and considerate. He was a real gentleman and you obviously taught him well. Although it has been years since I’ve seen him I still treasure his friendship and miss seeing him skateboarding with John and Alex, riding his bike, and driving his green mustang. My heart goes out to his wife Stephanie. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
