Gene was always one of the finest gentlemen in the business. I always enjoyed meeting with him and telling each other stories. We also had great fun on the golf course together….He will be missed.

Returning from Viet Nam in late 1968, Lt. Col. Conroy was my Squadron Commander into the next year. He molded each of us as Marines and moreso as Officers, Gentlemen and Productive Citizens.
He will be remembered for the very positive influence and impact on each of our lives.

Roy and I shared many good times with Gene and Vivian. He was like a family member; he’d even come to our house in the ’50s to see the kids’ enjoy their Santa. He will be truly missed.
