  2. My condolences go out the the Cooper family on Cathie’s passing. Cathie was always a bright light during the years we worked together. Her smile and wit kept me moving in the right direction and on my toes. Even though I have not seen Cathie in a while, I will miss her and feel a part of my life is not there. She is in a much better place now and can watch over us. I wish only the best for the entire family and my prayers and love are with you.

    Gary,
I remember my fist day at New D. Cathie came up to me at the front desk, and told me if anyone gave me a hard time, to tell them to talk to her. She was so welcoming and made me feel right at home. I will always remember that Halloween when my daughter was too scared to walk around and trick-or-treat. Cathie got down to her level, gave her a hug, and said, “Let’s go find some candy.” And they did.

What a warm spirit she had. My last memory of her will be running into her in the middle of the cross walk in Big Bear. Even then, she had time for a hug.

    My deepest sympathy,
    Dana

  4. Dear Gary,
Cathie’s light has not been dimmed by her passing, it still shines brightly in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Gary and Family,

Cathie was an extremely loveable person and had and infectious smile that would brighten anyone’s day. She handed out hugs and kisses like a true mom and I was fortunate to get those from time to time. My best memory of Cathie was when I brought my daughter in for everyone at New D to see, she must have smelled the baby powder, and she came around that corner and said “Gimme that baby!”. She took my daughter and held her, rubbed and patted her on the back with perfection. That small interaction with her was all I needed to see to make me say “What a wonderful person”.

God bless you and your family.
