Obituary

Bryan Deval Rivers passed away at his home in Irvine, California on January 4^th, 2021 at the age of 56. His wife, family members, hospice nurses, and church pastor were by his side. Bryan was born October 8^th, 1964 in Newark, New Jersey to Evelyn Virginia and Launey Earl Rivers. He grew up in the home of his grandparents, Clara and Will Redding, in East Orange, New Jersey along with his mom, aunt Myrtle Bailey, and cousin Robyn Redding-Lewis.

Bryan married Deborah Ann Williams on April 27^th, 2013 and their two families merged into one. In the years that followed, they built everlasting memories together as their love for each other grew. Bryan was a loving and faithful husband, beloved son and brother, and devoted dad and grandpa. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his mother, Evelyn Virgina Rivers; his children, Dominique, Devon, Chelsea, Ryan, Britni, Kendall, and BriAnne; his grandchildren, MJ, Callie, Mia, Kobe, Toni, Mister, and Bai’Lee Rose; and his brother, Launey Earl Rivers. Bryan touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.

Bryan’s Memorial Service will take place at The Refinery at Saddleback Church (Lake Forest) on Friday, January 29^that 11:00 am. A private burial will be held at El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saddleback Church (Lake Forest) or Vitas Healthcare (hospice) at VITASCommunityConnection.org.

Thank you, Bryan, for sharing your life with us. It has been a difficult health journey for you the past two years. We admire your courage and your strength in your efforts to battle all your health issues. Most of all, we admire your constant faith in the Lord throughout your many days of suffering.

You were a person of great integrity. We are especially thankful for the love, devotion, and the faithfulness you showed to Debbie.

From the day you and Debbie exchanged your wedding vows, you called us “Mom and Dad”. Likewise, we always considered you our “son”. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We enjoyed all the wonderful times we spent with you and Debbie over the years. We know you now have a special place in Heaven. The Lord, who you sincerely believed in, has taken you into His care and is now rewarding you with no more suffering and pain. May you rest in peace. You will be greatly missed by all who knew you.
