  1. Dear Alma, Jesse, Matthew, David, Cheryl, Ida, and Eunice:
We grieve deeply for your loss. It has been a difficult journey for your family, and we hope that we were able to provide some points of light during a period of darkness. Please remember that we will always be ready to help the awesome Volk family in any way, shape, or form, through this difficult time. Bob shall never be forgotten.

  2. I wish to send my deepest condolences to your family for your loss. I played with Bob at ORU his senior year. We are all so proud of his accomplishments and what he meant to our team and University.I am blessed that I got to know him and spent that year with him. I remember some great talks that we had in our dorm and how I looked up to him as one of our leaders. He left a very positive impression on me that I still carry with me. I saw him again at the ORU alumni game back in 1985 and most recently at the reunion of the 1978 CWS team in March of 2004. We had a lot of fun reminiscing and catching up about what was happening in our lives. I know all of his teammates, friends & family will miss him dearly. May God be with you and your family at this difficult time.

  3. My Heart and Prayers to the family.
Bob is now in peace and can rest painless.

Our sincerest condolences on the loss of Robert. I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Bob, since the Volk kids were all growing up so far away from us Minnesota Magandy kids… but just reading the messages about him has given us a perfect picture of a wonderful husband, father and son.

My sons, Curt, Cindy and family in Channahon, IL, & Dan here in Minneota have had your family in their prayers as well. Curt felt especially bad since he is 43 so is close in age to Bob and also has 3 kids at home – including their 6 yr. old named Matthew! Cindy said that losing her Curt would be unimaginable – so she has been praying for Alma daily! Robert’s death has affected people he never met – but who CARE!

Our heartfelt sympathy for each of you.

We continue to pray for the whole family to get thru this difficult time.

Love from Cousin Darleen & Rollyn Dorenkamper & family
