Obituary

Anyone who knew Tony knew what an exceptional, one of a kind guy he was. He never met a stranger. He was bigger than life and an absolute force that left a lasting impression on anyone who knew him. For those reasons, so many of us are left with a gaping hole in his absence.  His death should not overshadow the huge and full life Tony had. He left behind the love of his life, Lucinda, as well as his 3 amazing daughters, his mother, brothers and sister who loved him unconditionally. Needless to say that he has also left behind many, many friends who held him near to their hearts. Anyone who feels so inclined to donate can rest assured that the funds will go to creating a lasting and memorable tribute that Tony deserves.

  4. Van Vliet family,

I am truly sorry for your loss. Tony and I met on the PJSR – Tortuga ride many years ago and became good friends. He will be missed, but not forgotten and always remembered as my friend.

My condolences to the entire family , my last two interactions with Tony was when he drove me back to camp in the beer truck when I got hurt on the recent ride , and at Scotty’s fund raiser at Bad to the Bone , he was smiling and making me laugh in both instances , my heart goes out to him , and to all who are affected by the loss.
