  1. Thinking this morning of your sweet, knowing smile. Loving you and missing you SO much. Karen

One of my favorite recent memories is when we went to the Virginia Tech football game… The whole day (and of course the whole trip) was tons of fun. We woke up really early and had Redbull and Chick Fil A, something which not everybody’s stomach can handle but obvi ours could. Then we rode bikes 10 miles to the game, but had Fireball in our water bottles because who needs water? Well I guess we did need water, because we ended up stealing some bottles from some frat guys’ tailgate. Turns out sneaking around drunk college guys is pretty easy. Every tailgate we went to was fun… Andrew was able to connect with so many complete strangers! Then we went into the game, and even though we both hated football and didn’t watch more than 10 seconds total, we had so much fun. The whole day reminds me of how easy-going and enjoyable Andrew could be.

Andrew had so many different facets. He could tell you all about some engineering ideas or have in-depth philosophical conversations about Russell’s teapot theory, but then could also be open and talk about life and boys, or could have idle chit chat while drinking beers and playing corn hole. Certainly will miss him in the future, and I wish I had held onto and appreciated the times we had. Love you Andrew!

  3. I am glad the story came up for you, it didn’t appear to go through for me and is not on the list of memories when I pull it up? But what fun times

  4. Happy for JiAnn to see the launching of the submarine today and wish I could be there. I wish I had understood more of what work he was doing but glad he shared the excitement big this project with friends equally enthused. Have fun today all and hope it goes as planned.

  5. Just thinking how sweet and supportive Andrew was when JoAnn was battling breast cancer.
