I was thinking about the great time we had at the Virginia Tech football game. None of us were that much into the game, but we sure enjoyed being together. We ate, drank, talked and people watched without letting the football game disrupt us. Fun times!

Deciding whether to have a burger for lunch today brought back the sweet memory of the time just Andrew and I went out to lunch together for a burger at his favorite special burger place. He had tried ’em all and wanted to let me in on the one he thought was best. And he had his reasons which were wonderful to hear about. And he was sure right. This was a good one. Being able to spend some time with just he and I was special to me. This was Andrew as an Independant young man. I loved that time. I won’t forget it.

  3. I am LOVING these memories! “Where’s my foot??” the best! And Kelsey, Andrew would NOT be happy about you posting that photo….but I love it! JoAnn

  4. Love that Kelsey. It IS so nice to hear of memories others have of Andrew. I get to experience times with him that you had. It goes way way back, but the memory of telling “ghost” stories on the bed when Andrew was a toddler. Rachel was telling a story that had a repeat refrain, “Where’s my foot?”, after several repetitions Andrew sighed, got up , went around the bed and pointed to Rachel’s foot and said, “RIGHT THERE”!!! It was SO funny, we laughed many times over that.

  5. Our dear Andrew,
As I reminisce during the last few days, I feel so luck to have shared so many fun and precious times with you. Here is one: I remember delivering your new dog to you. When I was leaving Nika with you at the airport, I was choked with emotion. You ran after me , hugged me and said, “Thanks for my dog”. You grew into an impressive, sensitive, perceptive young man. I very much appreciate the few discussions we had on social issues, although I felt inadequate sometimes. Words cannot say how much I will miss you for the rest of my life. I will do my best to help your mom and hopefully we will meet again. Watch over your mom, I know how much you love her. Oh, and I loved playing Pictionary with you, again the inadequate part. With all the love my heart can hold, your Aunt Karen
