Obituary

Adam Robert Skaare, loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on October 14, 2021. He was 34 years old.

Adam was born on February 27, 1987 in Omaha, NE, to Max and Valerie Skaare. On October 5, 2019, he married Nicole Mangini and together they lived in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

Adam was a graduate of Aliso Niguel High School and the University of North Dakota. He was a man with an infectious smile, a heartfelt love for his family, and a devotion to his Catholic faith. Adam had incredible sensitivity, simplicity, and an incomparable depth of service to help others during his life. He loved all sports especially his loyalty to the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Twins.

Adam also loved his North Dakota roots. He was all about being “Country Strong” and cherishing the good life on the land. Words would fall short of all his accomplishments in life and how he always helped and cared for others. Adam was a proud Godfather and Uncle, Eagle Scout, a Knight of Columbus member, a Disneyland enthusiast, quick wit and humor, movie lover, hunter extraordinaire, automotive master, a “fixer of anything” with an I can attitude, and a love and respect of his country and those who served.

Adam is survived by his wife, Nicole; his parents, sister Jessica Longstreth (Skaare), brother Eric, nephew and niece Luke and Lucy Longstreth, extended family and close friends. He will never be forgotten and honored forever. Rest in eternal peace, Adam, in the arms of our Lord.

The funeral mass will be held Friday, November 5th at 10:00 am at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 29102 Crown Valley Parkway, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677.  Live Streaming will be available.  A memorial mass followed by burial will be at St. Katherine’s Roman Catholic Church in Braddock, ND on November 26th at 11:00am.

In lieu of any flowers or gifts, his family would love to encourage any interested parties to give back to those that help others. These are two of Adam’s favorite charities.

  1. On 10-14-21 my dear husband Adam Robert Skaare went with god is now at peace. Sometimes I need to remind myself I am not the only one hurting over Adam’s precious soul. I am blessed that I had 11 amazing years/memories with the love of my life. My heart goes out to the Skaare Family and his friends during this emotional time. Adam’s smile and laughter got me hooked from day one and I am sure a lot of you can relate.

We danced to our favorite song “Shallow” on our wedding day and it was the most memorable time in my life. Adam and I married on 10-5-19 and I will never forget our friends and families who supported us that day. Our story will forever carry on and hopefully inspire others to hold those dear to you because you never know when it’s that time to leave this earth.

Adam, I will dance with you again in the heavens and I can’t for you to hold me in your arms. I may have lost my husband and best friend but I also gained a perfect guardian angel to keep me “Country Strong” ~ Adam Robert Skaare. I feel your presence with me all the time and I keep our wedding bands around my neck to hold you close to my breaking heart.

Adam, rest in peace and I will see you soon in heaven. Forever Adam’s “Love Dove” ~ Adam Robert Skaare

    Your wife and best friend,
    Nicole Mangini-Skaare
