Obituary

Adam Robert Skaare, loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on October 14, 2021. He was 34 years old.

Adam was born on February 27, 1987 in Omaha, NE, to Max and Valerie Skaare. On October 5, 2019, he married Nicole Mangini and together they lived in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

Adam was a graduate of Aliso Niguel High School and the University of North Dakota. He was a man with an infectious smile, a heartfelt love for his family, and a devotion to his Catholic faith. Adam had incredible sensitivity, simplicity, and an incomparable depth of service to help others during his life. He loved all sports especially his loyalty to the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Twins.

Adam also loved his North Dakota roots. He was all about being “Country Strong” and cherishing the good life on the land. Words would fall short of all his accomplishments in life and how he always helped and cared for others. Adam was a proud Godfather and Uncle, Eagle Scout, a Knight of Columbus member, a Disneyland enthusiast, quick wit and humor, movie lover, hunter extraordinaire, automotive master, a “fixer of anything” with an I can attitude, and a love and respect of his country and those who served.

Adam is survived by his wife, Nicole; his parents, sister Jessica Longstreth (Skaare), brother Eric, nephew and niece Luke and Lucy Longstreth, extended family and close friends. He will never be forgotten and honored forever. Rest in eternal peace, Adam, in the arms of our Lord.

The funeral mass will be held Friday, November 5th at 10:00 am at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 29102 Crown Valley Parkway, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677.  Live Streaming will be available.  A memorial mass followed by burial will be at St. Katherine’s Roman Catholic Church in Braddock, ND on November 26th at 11:00am.

In lieu of any flowers or gifts, his family would love to encourage any interested parties to give back to those that help others. These are two of Adam’s favorite charities.

The mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas:  https://www.toysfortots.org/Default.aspx

  1. God bless this beautiful family, especially Nicole. Praying for all of you

  2. Our thoughts and prayers!

    1. Joe Mangini says:

Losing Adam has been a great lose to his wife & my daughter Nicole. As her father it breaks my heart to see her mourn so deeply. Myself, her mother, and her brother all support her with everlasting love. Be strong Nicole as Adam will be by your side forever. I love you so much Nicole. My heart breaks when your sad.

      Love Dad

  3. Nicole and Adam loved each other very much. ,

They shared the same interests. After putting in a hard day at their workplaces, they would relax watching one of their favorite movies. They knew the lines and recited them. Disneyland was extreme fun! One of Nicole’s happiest days was when Adam got down on one knee and proposed in front of Disneyland Castle.

Adam was funny and caring. He would call me mom and tell me he loved me. I had a son-in-law whom I loved.

Nicole is heartbroken. Seeing her pain is difficult. Her father Joe, stepdad Lonnie, brother Mario and I pray that she will be “Country Strong” as her soulmate Adam would have wanted.

Adam’s earthly life ended early at 34. However his new life in Eternity has just begun. He is free, healthy and reunited with loved ones gone before. We will see you again Adam.

  4. Max & Valerie, we are so sorry to hear about Adams passing. We are praying for you and your family during this very difficult time. Through the Mercy of God, May he RIP âœï,
    Blessings, Larry & Debbie Greene
