Considering Everyone – Including You: Practicing Awareness in Cultural Diversity and Self-Care Strategies
Practicing sensitivity and awareness of cultural meaning is vital to meaningful care. Dr. Hoy will discuss skills that professionals can utilize to be inclusive, open and flexible with cultural and familial needs.
Equally important to our workshop is self-awareness and a priority on self-care. We all know that when we are taking care of ourselves we provide the best care to others.
Our workshop will talk to both of these needs, encouraging curiosity, humility and care for unfamiliar customs and encouraging these same qualities of respect and care for self.
