Grief in the Workplace

People who work in health care are as likely as anyone else to face significant losses like the death of a family member. Unfortunately, there is often an unwritten expectation that we somehow “bounce back” more quickly than others because of “the work we do.” Indeed, our training and experience might help us know the road through loss, but it does nothing to prevent us from experiencing the journey. In this workshop, we will discover together ways to manage the stress of personal loss and workplace grief (such as the death of a colleague or well-liked patient/client). Join us as we learn together how to take care of ourselves in loss even while we are caring for others.
