Obituary

Stephen (Steve) Karl Stipher passed away in Mission Viejo, CA on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at 75 years old. Steve was born on July 25, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN to Karl and Jean Stipher.

He grew up in Indianapolis where he graduated from Bishop Chatard High School, playing several sports. After graduation, he attended Indiana University where he earned a B.A. in Economics and Marketing. After graduation, Steve was listed in the Army Reserves where he was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana and trained as a combat medic.

For 18 months, Steve was in the Army Reserves and was honorably discharged. After the Army, Steve worked for 3M, starting his sales career, which would span over 50 years.

While building his sales career, Steve and Ann married in April 1972. Steve and Ann left the Midwest and headed West for better business opportunities. They lived in Arizona, Nevada, and California. Steve spent the majority of his life, almost 40 years, in Mission Viejo, CA.

Steve was widowed by Ann after 44 years of marriage and remarried to Elaine Holroyd in 2019. Steve was a kind, loving and hardworking individual that brought out the best of everyone he met. Steve will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his wife, Elaine Holroyd of Mission Viejo. His 3 children, Jason Stipher, his wife Beth Stipher and their 2 children Luka and Finley of Laguna Niguel, CA. Amy Loros, her husband Dave Loros and their 2 children Lilly and Olivia of Costa Mesa, CA. And Ryan Stipher, his wife Rae Stipher of Las Vegas, NV. Jeff Holroyd, his wife Kristine Holroyd and their 6 children Jillian, Tatym, Finlee, Kasen, Cora, and Shay of Celina, TX. Eleyce Winn and her husband Kenny Winn of Danbury, CT. Steve’s siblings include Richard Stipher of Sycamore, IL and Karen Stipher of Indianapolis, IN.

Services will be held on Friday April 21, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Kilian Church, 26872 Estanciero Dr, Mission Viejo, CA 92691. A reception and lunch will follow the service at St. Kilian.

    Steve was a very close friend from High School. While many miles separated us we managed to stay in touch.
    Steve was truly a nice guy and one you always enjoyed being with.
    All of us back in Indianapolis will miss him.

    Steve was my first cousin and one of my very best friends. We shared a common bond in our lives and business. He was loved and missed by all. He leaves a sister Karen, a brother Richard, and a loving wife, Elaine and three beautiful Children & four Grand Children. It certainly will leave a huge hole in my Heart. God Bless Steve!!
