Obituary
Shirley Louise (Maxwell) Bailey was born on December 10, 1949 in Corona, California, to Gene and Elma Maxwell. Shirley was the 4th generation in her family to be born in Corona. She graduated from Corona High School and went on to earn her Nursing degree from Riverside Community College in 1976. She worked as a nurse for 23 years, taking a break from working for 18 years while staying home and caring for her two youngest children. In 2017 she retired from Mission Hospital Labor and Delivery after working the last 12 years.
Shirley was a resident of California for most of her life, with the exception of the 6 years she lived in Hawaii. Her love of Hawaii never left her and she returned to Kailua beach as often as possible. She was the wife and best friend to her husband, Tom, for the last 39 years. Shirley was a compassionate daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved God, her family, and her life. Her hobbies included traveling, reading, decorating, and spending time with family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Tom, daughters Kathie Nelson, Erica, Colleen, and Devon; sons Todd and Derek; grandchildren Gabrielle, Delaina, Harry, and Maxwell Nelson, Jaden Dicker, and Isabelle Bailey; father Gene Maxwell; and sister Marilyn Magness.

There is another star in the night sky. Till we meet again in heaven my friend. Thank you for always making me welcome as a part of your family. You will be so missed by all the lives you have touched. I wish I could find the kind of love and friendship Tom and you shared,it was like no other.
THE LORD WILL KEEP YOU FROM HARM-
HE WILL WATCH OVER YOUR LIFE;
THE LORD WILL WATCH OVER YOUR COMING AND GOING
BOTH NOW AND FOREVER
