Mike, Hannah and Ellie:
I worked with Sherie at ABC. She was a joy to work with – her bright smile and laughter reminded us all that there was more to life than work.
Her office was filled with pictures of her family and wonderful drawings that Hannah and Elliei had created especially for their mom.
When Mike entertained at the ABC TailGate party, Sherie was asked where she’d found such a talented musician. With a twinkle in her eye, she said “At my house!”
It’s been said that some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile, touch our hearts, and we are never ever the same.
Sherie was one of those… and there are many of us who will never be the same.

Mike, Ellie and Hannah- My heart breaks for you and your family during this time. Please know that we are all wrapping our arms around you and giving you strength and love even if from far away. I worked with your mom for a short time and knew right away she was a truly remarkable woman and incredibly genuine. Please remember this poem by Marjolein Basten:
Blue against Blue
This heavenly blue butterfly will fly high in the sky, higher and higher.
The sunlight will touch the blue on its wings until it seems to disappear.
We think it is gone because the blue of the butterfly is the same blue of the sky.
We think it is gone, because our eyes are too weak to see-and it is difficult to believe what we cannot see.
But the blue butterfly is not gone. It is still flying, higher and higher, nearer the sun.
Blue against blue for now and forever.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mike, Hannah & Ellie, I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Sherie and considered her a friend as well as a colleague. Sheri was a very compassionate and caring person. I learned a lot from her in this respect. I will forever cherish the walks we took in the morning before meetings, shopping with her, getting lost in unfamiliar territory on business trips, etc. There are so many things… What I will miss most is Sheri’s beautiful smile and her genuine laugh, but they will forever be alive in my memory and in my heart. I pray for you and wish God’s blessings on you all.
