Obituary

Ronald P. Parker, 69, of Lake Forest, CA, passed away Tuesday, July 23rd, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.

Ron was born in Miami, Florida, January 13,1943, the son of Penson P. and Rose Parker.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War, radio control operator.

Ron enjoyed fishing and golfing but most of all race car driving and motorcycle riding. Ron always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. Most of all Ron was a dedicated family man with a great work ethic.

He leaves his wife of 29 years, Cathy Parker; three sons, Mike Parker, Jeff Parker, Ronnie Parker and his wife Mikela; 3 daughters, Francesca Lauer and her husband Jason, Kristine Parker-Metiz and her husband Tim, youngest daughter Jessica Parker; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, Skyler, Jared Joshua, Niko and Noah.

Military burial service will be held Friday, July 27th, 2012 at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr., San Diego, CA at 11:00 a.m. by Chaplin David Plank.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 27th, 2012 at Don Jose Restaurant, 23792 Avenida De La Carlota, Laguna Hills from 3:00-7:00 p.m. To share a memory with the family go to www.oconnormortuary.com.

  1. I knew Ron as a neighborhood friend in Miami from the time I was a young teenager. He also attended one year of high school with me at Miami High in 1959. He passed away several months after my precious husband. I think they really would have liked each other.
    My husband flew the Phantom F-4 during Vietnam.
