Obituary

Ronald Gene Benjamin, 69, of Coto de Caza, California, passed away, Tuesday, March 25th, 2014.

Ron was born September 18, 1944 in Oakland City, IN to Gene and Anna Belle (Bratton) Benjamin. He graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1962 and attended the University of Indiana after an honorable discharge from the army. In 1977 he founded Sports Display, a specialty advertising company that flourished for over 30 years. He lead a very active life participating a variety of activities including boating, both snow and water skiing, golf, tennis, racquetball, riding motorcycles in the street and off-road. He was very down to earth but enjoyed the finer things in life. He loved to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events and the socializing with family and friends over a barbeque in the back yard.

Ron is survived by two sons, two daughters and five grand children, his wife Joan and his mother Anna Belle and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Gene and his brother Dave.

Service Details:

In the spirit of Ron, there will be a “Celebration of Life” party on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 1:00pm PST. This event will be held at The Hills Hotel located at 25205 La Paz Road, Laguna Hills, California 92653. http://www.thelagunahillshotel.com/

  3. Ron was the best….when ever you saw him there was that smile…to brighten your day. Both he & Joan on the best kind of People. I know he was loved and I know he will be missed
