Age 75, manufacturing entrepreneur, Robert Follman, passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved him in Mission Viejo, California, October 21, 2019.
Robert was born on September 2, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan.
In 1946 his parents relocated and settled in Orange County, California where Robert remained and dedicated his life to his family and businesses, RA Industries LLC, Markall Inc. & Katmai Lodge Alaska.
This summer, Robert was honored by Congressman Lou Correra for lifelong dedication to the Orange County manufacturing and business community.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carole and their three children Jack, Robin and Adam and four grandchildren.
Robert was a strong supporter of many local and national charitable organizations, and was active in community and civic affairs, including: executive board positions with the Segerstrom Center for the Arts; Orange County School of the Arts; UC Irvine Diabetes Center; the Katmai Lodge Alaska & Markall, Inc. Foundation for Disease and Disability Awareness; and the Follman-Young Foundation for the Arts.
He was beloved for his kindness, sense of humor, strong character and loyalty. Always taking time to connect with his friends and families with calls, emails and surprise visits.
The Memorial Services were held on October 28, 2019, at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, California.
