Obituary

Rita Marie DeFilippis, 86 of Phoenix, AZ died 12/28/17. Rita was born in Passaic NJ to Richard and Theresa Dawson on 1/10/31.

Attended Passaic High School in NJ, married to Raymond Wegman, divorced in 1962 and later married to Thomas DeFilippis, died 8/24/2009.

She is survived by her 2 children Linda Vareha and Richard Wegman and 2 stepchildren Denise and Robert DeFilippis.

Rita was loved by many for her kind heart, and generosity. She loved to make Bunka (Japanese Art) and play Mahjong. She would want to be remembered as a good mother and wife as well as a woman who loved to enjoy life to its fullest.

The Vigil Service (rosary) will be at O’Connor Mortuary, Friday the 5th of January at 10 AM, 25301 Alicia Pkwy Laguna Hills, Ca 92653. Phone 949-581-4300.

Followed by a burial at Ascension Cemetery at 11:30 AM, at 24754 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630. Phone 949-837-1331 (10 min drive from Mortuary).

This will be followed by a gathering at the home of Lewis and Marty Crouse at 412 S Crest Road, Orange, CA 92868 (25 min drive from Cemetery).
