  1. How does one man touch so many, so deeply? Humbly, gently, and with a great capacity to love. In one of our many e-mails we argued over who was the angel brought into the life of the other. It was quite a heated exchange, but he made me laugh. He loved me, trusted me and made me feel special. HE was the angel sent to me. He was a mountain of a man. We leaned on him, felt protected by him, and were challenged in our faith by him.
Carolyn and family-my pain is nothing compared to yours, but I am overwhelmed with the loss of this great man.
“I can only imagine…what it will be like…”

  2. Dearest Carolyn and Family,
We are so very sorry. It is difficult to find the words to even begin to express our profound feeling of loss. Dick was, and always will be so very dear to us for his loving care to our family. Our thoughts and countless prayers are with you. We love you all so very much and thank you for sharing your precious husband and father with us. The Schmitke Family

  3. Carolyn/Cobb & Haskin Family:

It does not seem there are enough words to describe Pastor. He was a very Humble Godly Man who put so many others before himself. He was such an inspirational teacher of the Word of God. Pastor most definitely lived his life by example in the spirit of the Lord, as he taught us all. I will miss him greatly but will always remember our many phone calls and conversations of friendship and his Godly advice. I rejoice in knowing that Pastor is in Heaven continuing to serve the Lord.

    Love in Christ’s Name, Allen

  5. Our Dear Cobbs, You were the first family we met when we moved to California 30 years ago. Who could have guessed that our close friendship would develop into an eternal bond and that our beloved “Mayo” would become our Pastor, Shepherd, Spiritual Leader. We thank God for him and for each of you. We will miss him so deeply, remember him always and look forward to being with him again. Our hearts are heavy with sadness, but filled with love and prayers for each of you.
