Having been a Woodbridge resident for thirty years I have known Ralph to be associated with many of the activities in our community. He was also a regular at Waters Lakehouse restaurant and I saw him there many times. He will be missed by many.

My heartfelt condolences to the Redington family. I have resided in Woodbridge since 1984 and Ralph did a wonderful job coordinating so many fun events enjoyed by all. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Ralph will be missed by all. He showed us through his life and spirit what the real meaning of community is. Most of all, I will miss seeing him around town, running into him at the lake or the gym, catching up about our busy lives. My prayers are with his family and for Ralph’s eternal happiness and peace.

We are shocked and saddened to learn of Ralph’s passing. We knew him through Boys and Girls Club basketball, WVA business and just plain ole neighborly friendship. He was fun to play with, work with and talk sports with. Mostly, he was one of those people who just makes you feel like he really cared…because he really did. We have many fond memories of Ralph, but a recent one is from last year when there was a police incident on our street and the neighborhood was evacuated after midnight. Ralph opened up the WVA facility for us, and made us all feel at home; he gathered drinks, looked for snacks and even made a donut run for everyone. The Woodbridge community is greatly diminished by his loss, and we feel a personal void by not having had the chance to tell Ralph goodbye…and to tell him one more time: thanks for the friendship and service.

Our dear Ralph was the ultimate giver! He looked for ways to sow into others for their benefit and also to give to others not expecting anything in return. It was his joy to bring others joy. The community of Woodbridge, the many athletes that Ralph coached, as well as his friends and family have been blessed by his caring spirit and giving heart. We have all been blessed in knowing Ralph!
