Obituary
Monika ? Oma? Miller
In 1947 Monika began life in Germany and came to Canada as a small child in the early fifties with her parents and older brother, Dieter.
She raised two children of her own, Shawn and Corrina, with all of the love a Mother could give. After the children left home Monika moved to Toronto where she was a very successful award winning sales and marketing manager.
In 1995 Monika married Chuck Miller and moved to Dana Point, California. Although she attended church it was not until she married Chuck and began attending South Coast Christian Assembly that she became a born again believer. She also became the step mother to Chuck’s three daughters treating them with as much love as her own children.
As the years rolled by Monika’s love for the Lord and her Church family grew. Wanting and willing to serve, Monika was always helping with the church fellowships, Women’s ministry as well as Greeter’s and Sunday school teachers.
Monika loved her church family, especially the Women’s ministry. They taught her how to study God’s word which she loved. Monika loved the work of Women’s ministry and developed many close and wonderful friends.
In 1996 Monika became a grandmother for the first time. The grand babies, all nine of them called her ?Oma? a European word for Grandmother. Monika loved her children and their babies. She, like Job, prayed for each of them everyday. Her love for all of them knew no bounds.
Monika? s life reflected the love of God and even her disease could not stop her desire to see all of her family in church serving her God. Corrina’s wedding was the thrill of her life when all of her blended family was together for the first time.
Monika favorite saying was ? a faith that can not be tested could not be trusted?…
Monika passed the test.

Dearest Chuck and family,
My most sincere condolences go out to you, as do my prayers, for the strength to continue celebrating Monika’s life and that remaining for all of us.
I will always cherish my memory of the cheerful and energetic greetings that I received from Monica on my annual visits with fellow quality professionals. She knew how to make me feel special, even though she saw only saw me once a year. I shall miss her.
