Jay passed away on Sunday, June 13th, at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sherry Jarrett, and his daughter, Jennifer Jarrett.

  2. Jennifer has been one of my closest/dearest friends since we were in high school. I was invited to have dinner at the Jarrett’s home one evening and we had steak. Sherry asked everyone what they would like to drink with their dinner. Jay said, “milk”. Jen said “milk!”. I said “water”. Jay and Jen were giggling to themselves and I think Sherry was shaking her head and made comment about them wanting the “whole cow experience”. I’m not sure of the exact phase.. it was like 20 years ago! It still makes me laugh when I think of it. There’s a lot of love in this family and a lot of laughs. I feel lucky to have experienced many happy and funny memories with Jennifer and her family.

Sherry, Jennifer and Eric – you are in my prayers and I hope you find comfort in your happy memories with Jay. I know you must have a million!
