Obituary

Mary Virginia Wiss Martin
Daughter of Joe and Mary Jane Wiss
November 9, 1961 – June 18, 2015
Extraordinary Mother, Daughter, Wife and Friend
Served her Faith. Served the Lord. Served her Families. Like a Shepherd to her flock.
She attended University of Missouri, St. Louis.
She was married and moved to Orange California December 1990.
She found her true calling as a beloved mother to her five children, Luke, Hanna, Benjamin, Samuel and Jacob, and a loving wife to her husband Michael.
Mary lived life to the fullest and fought hard until her peaceful passing in her home on June 18 in the presence of all her five children, husband, parents and her three siblings.
Some of Mary’s favorite hobbies included scrapbooking, walking and reading in the harbor, painting crosses and making custom jewelry with them, and running around with her five kids.
Mary gave back to her community by donating many hours to her children’s school, as well as both of her home parishes, Our Lady of Fatima and St. Timothy’s.
Everyone who knew Mary or came in contact with her felt her incredibly bountiful love and could find humor simply in her one of a kind amazing laugh.
As she was surrounded by all her loved ones she was swiftly taken home to Heaven and will live on in the lives and actions of those who knew her.
You will always be remembered and missed Mary, and we cannot wait until the day we are all able to meet again in paradise.
Her life will be celebrated with a rosary and funeral service at St. Timothy’s Catholic Parish and all are welcome.
Monday Evening: 7 P.M. Rosary
Tuesday Morning: 10 A.M. Funeral Service

My dad, Gene Meyers, and I, want to extend our deepest sympathy to the entire Martin family, and to our friends, the Wiss family. Our hearts broke when we heard the news of Mary’s passing, and many old memories of the family, running around the Dogtown neighborhood, came rushing back to us! All of those memories of Tamm Ave. Pharmacy and the wonderful neighborhood.
    With heartfelt sympathy,
Terri Meyers and Gene Meyers (St.Louis)
