Obituary

Marion B. Trumpf, 79 years old, passed away at home in Lake Forest, California on September 25, 2010.

Marion was born on April 17, 1931 in Wisconsin to the late Bertha and Fritz Blumreiter who emigrated from Germany. Her only sibling, Robert Blumreiter is deceased. She lived in both Wisconsin and California before settling in South Orange County in 1972. Marion had two marriages and was widowed in 1974 with the passing of Forrest Jerome Trumpf. Marion had three children. She is survived by daughters Gretchen Trumpf and Lieschen Lavine; and granddaughter Shaina Lavine. Her son, Paul Mc Vicker is deceased. Marion deeply loved her children and granddaughter.

Marion’s career was in real estate. Another talent of her many talents was culinary and we, who have sat at her table for whatever occasion, will miss the delectable experience of her delicious meals and her colorful conversations and stories. Marion appreciated the ‘the finer things in life’ and sustained strong friendships extending back from grade school to present.

Marion had health and personal challenges especially in the last two years of her life. She adapted graciously and grew facing these challenges. Her courage and perseverance to live well, to be as independent as possible and to maintain her social network was inspiring. Thanks to her many friends who supported her until her body just wore out.

Marion was cremated on September 30, 2010 and her remains currently reside in Long Beach, California.

A commemorative gathering will be held for Marion B. Trumpf to celebrate and remember her life on November 6th from 2 to 5 PM at Crush Wine Bar and Restaurant, 22741 Lambert St., Lake Forest, CA 92630.

My deepest sympathy to the whole family on your loss. One of my fondest memories of Marion was when we both worked together in our Real Estate office. When Marion would pick up the phone she would say ” Marion speaking, How may I be of service”. That always tickled me to hear her say it and she really ment it. I loved the stories of all her children and grandchildren. She loved you all so much.

  3. My deepest empathy to Marion’s family.
Marion and I used to sit together at the front desk at Prudential for hours on end. We shared some laughs and some tears. One story she and I thought was amusing is the cost of handbags. She said for the price of a handbag these days one could buy a car!!! We were laughing so much! I admire her for having the courage and strength to get out of bed every morning and come to the office looking ever so beautiful! She loved her children so very much and spoke of them often! Also, she had a heart of gold. I will truly miss her!
