OBITUARY OF JOAN FRANCES ELLIS
 
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Joan Frances Ellis was born in Tucson, AZ on October 2, 1938.  She passed away peacefully at her home in Lake Forest on Friday, November 14 after a long battle with cancer.
 
Her death is preceded by parents Lillian and Lewis Phebus of Tucson and Lake Forest, and brother Robert of Cincinnati, Ohio.
 
She attended local schools in Tucson and the University of Arizona where she met and on October 30, 1956 married the love of her life, Donald.  Her life was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends.
 
Upon moving the family to El Toro in 1972, she began working at the Saddleback Memorial Medical Center.  In 1998, after 25 years, she retired as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.  She touched thousands of lives as a compassionate and loving voice in the care-giving community.  She continued to help others in her retirement as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Saddleback Foundation.  She truly made the world a better place.
 
She is survived by Donald, her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, son David Ellis, daughters Donna Hendrick and Julie Ellis, daughter-in-law Christin Ellis, and five grandchildren; Lisa Hendrick, Lindsay Hendrick, Megan Hendrick, Andrea Ellis, and Preston Ellis.
 
A private family ceremony will be held Friday, November 21.  A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held after the Holidays.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saddleback Memorial Medical Center Foundation, 24451 Health Center Drive, Laguna Hills, CA., 92653.
