  1. To try to put into words how I feel is simply impossible. My love and prayers go out to Jim’s children and family, and to Anna, who in Jim’s own words, “saved him”. I know he loved you all so very much – you were his life. In his honor, I hope we can realize that every moment of life is precious – death always comes too soon. May we all learn to love well, end all our conversations with kindness, and in the midst of our chaotic lives, make time for the ones we love.

Jim, thank you for being my friend, for supporting me, for running my race, and especially for being my teacher. I will never forget our guitar lessons in my living room: Jeannie, Declan and I giggling at our slippery, ridiculous attempts at playing our instruments, while you sat smiling, giving us your “nod”, and quietly playing the melody behind us, that made our music sound beautiful. That is who you were, a quiet and humble man whose melody made the world around you a calm and peaceful place to be.
Apparently the Angels in heaven were missing an important part of their orchestra, a classical guitarist, and only the best would do. Until we meet again my friend – enjoy your amazing “jam sessions” in heaven.
I will miss you – I promise when you see me again my fingers will be well calloused.

It was difficult to believe when I heard about Jim passing away, we worked together for so many years at CCI/ICL and he was more than just a friend. He will always be a part of my life. Jim was always there to assist others whenever needed. Jim, would often spend time talking about his wife and childeren and just how much he enjoyed being together with them. His love and kindness will never be forgotten. I hope Jim continues to be with all of us throught out lives. Thank you Jim for all the memories and for being my friend.
