Obituary

James “Jim” “Mac” McGraw III passed away peacefully on April 12, 2022 in Newport Beach, CA. Jim was born on March 31, 1948 in Yazoo City, MS to the late Dicey Carr Barbour and James “Jimmy” McGraw II. Jim was the older brother to late Harris “Brother” McGraw.

Jim was a proud graduate of The University of Mississippi “Ole Miss” where he majored in Finance and was an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Jim is survived by his beautiful wife Mary Conway McGraw of Newport Beach, CA, 4 daughters; Patricia “Tricia” McGraw Kelleher (husband Ryan) of San Juan Capistrano, CA, Dicey McGraw Perrine (husband Brett) of Laguna Hills, CA, Jamie McGraw of Newport Beach, CA and Anne McGraw of Nashville, TN;  3 grandchildren; Walton Perrine, Mary Perrine and Collins Kelleher.

His life revolved around his loving wife of 36 years, four beautiful daughters, and three grandchildren. Jim was an avid reader with a large book collection and always enjoyed watching his Ole Miss Rebels play each fall.

O’Connor Mortuary will be handling the arrangements. Services will be held at 11:00AM on April 27, 2022 at St Edward The Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point, CA.

  2. I was so sorry to learn that Mac passed away. I have wonderful memories of of our days growing up in Yazoo City and counted Mac as one of my favorite people. You and your daughters are all in my thoughts and prayers. Linda Vaughan Barnett

  3. Mac was always such a friendly, smart, athletic guy. He was in my high school graduating class of 1966. I will always remember his kindness. Prayers for comfort for his wife, daughters, and extended family.
