  1. Dear Peggy, Danny, Patrick, Katie & Dennis:

Jerry was truly one of my very best friends. Ever since we met at our lockers in our freshmen year at Central Catholic. We bonded immediately and have remained like brothers since 1961. We always stayed close over the years evan with Peg and Jerry moving several tiems. We both had 3 boys and a girl and Jerry was Godfather to our daugher Jill.

I’ll always remember our rides home from Central picking up Barnie at work and polishing off a few beers in the basement.

Peg, I’am sure you’ll never forget the wonderful visit Spud, Barb and I had at your home. I know the vision of Spud losing his bathing suit when a big wave hit him will always be burned into our minds. HA HA

One of our best adventures was going to the final four in New Orleans in 1992 or 93? We stayed at
a Bed and Breakfest owed by a gay guy in the French Quarter. Malone and Kazmeier slept in one bed and Jerry and I slept in an other, WHAT A SIGHT THAT WAS!!!!!!!.

Spud was in hog heaven in your hot tube in Michigan after our softball games. When we won our first softball game Jerry took Spud and myself and a few others to the Willows for steak and Michalob, they stopped us at the front door and did not want to let us in. Jerry gave him his credit card and they seated us immediately .

Jerry truly had a heart of gold and will remain in our hearts and prayers as all of you will.

Glad we talked on my birthday June 9.

    Love,

    Rosemary and John

We send our sympathy and offer prayers for all of you. Neighborhood friendships last forever and we treasure the memories of Jerry and his never ending enthusiasm for life. Heaven now has the pleasure of his merriment. What an Irishman!
    God bless.
