I am deeply touched, saddened, and moved by the loss of Gary. His presence was always one of positive, uplifting involvement in all that he did. It was my privilege to know and work with Gary, and see him grow and mature in life and work at UPS. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you Kathy, and your family, as you deal with the loss, many thoughts and great memories of life with Gary.

    To the Medeiros Family,

I had the pleasure of working with Gary for the past eight years. As a Union official, I dealt with Gary regarding labor issues during his time as Cerritos Package Division Manager and Southeast Cal District Labor Manager.

Gary was a fair and reasonable person. He was a man of integrity and a consummate professional. He was always willing to listen and give his employees a second chance when merited. He was highly regarded and respected by our entire staff. We knew when Gary made a decision it was based on sound judgement without prejudice or bias. He was not afraid to make tough decisions and stand behind those decisions. He bore great responsibility with his employer UPS and carried out his duties admirably.

Gary will be deeply missed by all of us here at Teamsters Local 396, but rest assured his legacy will abide.

  5. Kathy and Isabelle,

So sorry to hear about Gary. May you find strength in your family and the wonderful memories of him.
