Edward S. Milbury, 68, died suddenly on Monday morning at his home in Irvine, CA. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Janet Hartman; his three children, Brian Edward Milbury, 41, of Chicago, IL; Lesley Milbury Volk, 37, of Libertyville, IL; and Mary Milbury Quinn, 30, of Sierra Madre, CA; his sons-in-law Matthew Quinn and John Volk; his grandson John Volk Jr.; and his sisters Joan, Mary, and Terri. Ed grew up in Townsend, MA, with his sisters and parents, John and Mildred both deceased. He graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in electrical engineering and served in the ROTC and U.S. Army before leaving active duty as a captain to pursue a career in communication technology, later becoming marketing director and CEO of various companies. He lived in Libertyville, IL for 22 years before moving to Irvine, CA in 2000. Ed was a wonderful, caring, and selfless person who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
The funeral mass will be Friday, September 11th at 10:00am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5101 Alton Parkway, Irvine, CA 92604. The visitation will be the evening before, on Thursday, September 10th at 7:00-9:00pm at O?Connor Laguna Hills Chapel and Crematory, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.
