  1. Dot was a real lady. A true friend. Dot was my Mom’s best friend. My Mom & Dad, Lee and Buz Johnston, would go square dancing all the time with Bob and Dot. I remember when they came home, they were always laughing at the evenings funniest moments – they had the best times dancing together. When Bob & Dot decided to move, I helped move their belongings with my truck – they had only lived just a half mile away from us. This past Christmas, I sent Dot some pictures of my husband Stan and myself, our home, pets, etc. She was so ecstatic to receive my letter – to this day, I still have her reply. I will miss her greatly but I know she is in a much better place and she’s not alone anymore.

  2. Aunt Dot and Uncle Bob were two very special people, when I was only 5 years old they took me for the first time to Disneyland, I still remember how much fun we had.
They had always been a great Aunt and Uncle. They were always a big part of my life in many special ways. Only God knows are hearts and I truly believe they are together and both happy again. They will be missed by those of us left behind.

  3. We always enjoyed square dancing with Dorothy and Bob and Lee and Buz Johnston. We had so many laughs! Howard and I missed them greatly when they moved south. I will miss getting letters from Dorothy. Dorothy was a good friend and a very kind and thoughtful person.

Aunt Dot was a very special person. She always was glad to see you & loved to hear about our every day life. Her favorite thing to do was to go down to the ocean. She delighted in the smell, sounds & beauty of the ocean. She loved Laguna. She & my Uncle Bob shared many special times at Laguna. Even though she had many lonely times after my Uncle Bob passed away she still lived her life the best she could even with all her frailties. Her care giver Mary, had also become her friend and she enjoyed her company as well as the opportunity to do her errands with her. She was blessed with family & friends. It was evident in the hospital by the well wisher’s that came by, the cards, phone calls & flowers. She enjoyed SUBWAY, & Carrows, but we discovered she loved lobster. We joked about one of our last dinners L&L lobster & lamb. It was a joy to visit with her & talk for hours. Her last day her sister-in-law Patti, Char, John & I were with her. We were fortunate to be with her as she went to Uncle Bob. She is no longer alone. We will miss her greatly, her laughter, smile & wit.

Aunt Dot will be lovingly remembered in my heart and mind as a wonderfully sweet, caring, and loving great Aunt. In recent years Aunt Dot and I had grown a very sweet friendship. She always loved to hear about our little girl, Abigail. We spent time talking about her beautiful flowers and all of life. She truly lived life to the fullest-always. Her sweet friendship and open and loving heart will be deeply missed…..
