Obituary

Don was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Scottish immigrants. The family moved to Michigan when he was very young and he resided there for most of his life. His father died during the Depression and he and his twin brother were sent to a boarding school in Scotland for two years during high school. He met and married Elizabeth Winkel in 1941 and they recently celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary. He was an educator for his entire working career that spanned some 55 years. He will be sorely missed by his four children and their spouses, seven grandchildren and their spouses, six great-grandchildren and many, many friends and relatives.

A Memorial Service is to be held on Sunday, July 16, 2006 ~ 2:00 P.M.
at The Wellington – Potpourri Room.
